I got some more work done this weekend… The deck is now glassed on with 2 layers of 4oz fiberglass cloth and WestSystem epoxy. I glued the carbon tubes into the ama and completed the final sanding. Now, I just need to do the final filling on the ama and glass it… Also on the “to do” list: shape seat, get hinges and attach foot pedals, bend some iakos, final fairing and paint!
Just to satisfy my curiosity, I tried the fit of my Pueo iakos… Wow! They fit! If only I could get a set for cheap… Check the pics below to see how the major pieces fit together. It’s starting to look like an outrigger!
